Each film coated tablet of Bisoprol contains: 2.5 mg, 5 mg or 10 mg of bisoprolol fumarate.

Bisoprol belongs to a group of medicines called beta-blockers it works by affecting the body’s response to some nerve impulses, especially in the heart. As a result, Bisoprol slows down the heart rate and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood around the body.

Bisoprol used in these cases:
- Hypertension and angina pectoris.
- Stable chronic heart failure (CHF) in combination with ACE inhibitors, diuretics or heart glycosides

- Hypertension and angina pectoris:
The usual dose is 5-10 mg as single daily dose.
Maximum recommended dose is 20 mg daily.
- Stable chronic heart failure (CHF:
Initial dose is 1.25 mg once daily if tolerated the dose should be doubled after 1 week and then increase gradually at 1 to 4 weeks intervals.
Maximum recommended dose should not exceed 10 mg once daily.

Bisoprol is not used in:
- Hypersensitivity to bisoprolol.
- Severe asthma.
- Heart problems.
- Raynaud’s syndrome (Severe blood circulation problems in the limbs)
- Metabolic acidosis

These side effects may occur such as:
- Tiredness.
- Dizziness.
- Headache.
- Feeling of coldness or numbness in hands or feet.
- Low blood pressure.
- GIT problems such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or constipation.

Tell your doctor in these cases:
- Diabetes.
- Liver or kidney disturbances.
- Severe blood circulation problems in the limbs.
- Pregnancy and breast feeding.
- Thyroid disorders.
- Psoriasis.
- Children.

Tell your doctor if you take other drugs such as:
- Quinidine and phenytoin.
- Verapamil, diltiazem, clonidine and methyldopa.
- Monoamine oxidase inhibitors.
- Antihypertensive drugs.

Each box of Bisoprol contains: 3 × 10 Tablets.
